What is the TV Lunch with SBS Scripted?
The monthly one-hour lunchtime events are a virtual forum to connect early to mid-level screen creatives with the team responsible for developing and commissioning scripted SBS Originals. It’s an opportunity to hear about the commissioning process and what SBS is looking for. We’ll also hear from special guests in the sector about career development, learnings and creative processes.
The format is simple. Each month, an aspect of the TV industry is discussed for the first 20 minutes with a special guest, followed by a 40-minute ‘Ask Me Anything’ Q&A session.
Past topics have included how to write a great pitch, tips for writers’ rooms, financing your next series, adapting theatre for screen, and tackling the international TV market.
The TV Lunch sessions are run by the SBS Scripted team: Nakul Legha (Head of Scripted) and Zaina Ahmed (Development Executive).
