LIVE: Amstel Gold Race

The Amstel Gold Race will be broadcast LIVE on SBS ONE and streamed right here on Sunday 19 April at Cycling Central from 10:30pm AEST (Live to Eastern states, South Australia and Northern Territory).

Laurens de Vreese (R) of Astana Pro Team leads a breakaway during the 50th edition of the 258km Amstel Gold race between Maastricht and Berg en Terblijt.

 

The 50th Amstel Gold Race is the first of three Ardennes classics and is held in Limburg, Netherlands.

The 258km course is a demanding one with repeated but short climbs which suit punchy riders like defending champion Philippe Gilbert (BMC) and Australian Simon Gerrans (Orica-GreenEDGE), who finished 3rd in 2014.
