Liège-Bastogne-Liège is the oldest of the Classics with this year marking the 101st edition of the Ardennes race.
The 253km race has a rentless collection of climbs to tire the peloton's legs before the finale.
Defending champion Simon Gerrans is not at his best after early season injuries, but will no doubt still feature in the race. Alejandro Valverde, who finished second last year, is in top form after winning Fleche Wallonne on Wednesday while Michal Kwiatkowski will be hoping to repeat his Amstel Gold victory.
