SBS senior programmer Ben Nguyen's pick of the week is How To Build, a three-part doco which looks into the engineering of three super machines.

Pick of the Week: How To Build (Saturdays 7:30pm SBS ONE)

Air. Land. Space. This series goes behind the engineering of three machines at the pinnacle of their field – the A380, a McLaren super car based on Formula One vehicles and a brand new Astrium communications satellite. We go behind closed doors into some of the most secretive manufacturing plants in the world to understand how this technology was designed and constructed. With insights from the production teams and F1 teammates Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button, this is not to be missed for engineering buffs.

Other Highlights:

China: Triumph and Turmoil (Wednesday 9:30pm SBS ONE) In the final episode of this series Niall Ferguson looks into China’s growing global presence and aggressive nationalism.

Usain Bolt: The Fastest Man Alive
(Friday 7:30pm SBS TWO) In the wake of his record breaking triple gold, we encore this documentary with exclusive access into the Lightning Bolt’s dramatic Olympic preparation.

Pompeii: Cellar of Skeletons (Sunday 7:30pm SBS ONE) The city of Pompeii has always been an incredible window into life in Ancient Rome, but now a discovery of dozens of skeletons can tell us even more.

Capitalism: A Love Story
(Sunday 9:30pm SBS ONE) Michael Moore returns to SBS in this blackly entertaining condemnation of capitalism – the first in a new Sunday documentary showcase.
