Wolf Creek star John Jarratt is taking an unusual, in-person approach to promoting his new film StalkHer.
Along with his co-director and co-star Kaarin Fairfax, Jarrett is taking the new romantic thriller on a tour of regional pubs around Australia.
There will be advance screenings of the film, followed by Q&A sessions with Jarratt and Fairfax and karaoke competitions.
Jarratt performs a song for the film, 'Killer in Me', and will no doubt be offering live renditions of the song.
In the film, a lone predator Jack (Jarratt) breaks into the home of Emily (Fairfax) but when she gets the upper hand they settle in for a long night of physical and emotional battling.
Jarrett spoke to SBS Movies last year about the decision to star in the first film he has directed: “I’m tied to a chair for 90 percent of it so I thought as a directorial debut, it wasn’t a bad one.
“It didn’t have continuity problems as my arms were tied up and I didn’t have to move so a few things were ripe at me having a go at directing.
StalkHer opens in Australia on August 27.
