A bushfire continues to burn uncontrolled in the Adelaide Hills, with fire crews expected to continue fighting the blaze until at least Thursday.

The Country Fire Service says the fire is burning within the Black Hill Conservation Park and is not an immediate threat to homes and other properties in the nearby Paracombe area.
"The fire is burning in very steep and inaccessible terrain in all directions within the park," the CFS said.

"Crews are working on foot in challenging conditions."

Cooler weather and increasing winds moved across the fire zone on Wednesday afternoon, amid fears the changing conditions could push the fire deeper into the conservation park.
At the height of the blaze, the CFS had 24 fire units and about 140 personnel on the scene.

"While firefighting crew numbers have now reduced, firefighting activity remains ongoing," the CFS said.
"It is expected that crews will remain on-site overnight and into Thursday."

Meanwhile, a blaze which threatened homes and destroyed grape vines in the Clare Valley on Tuesday has been contained.
