Situation 'under control' after PNG massacre

The situation in a PNG town where tribal warfare killed at least 15 men in Papua New Guinea is under control, PNG's Highlands Divisional Police Commander Simon Kauba told the ABC in Port Moresby.

The situation in a PNG town where tribal warfare killed at least 15 men in Papua New Guinea is under control, PNG's Highlands Divisional Police Commander Simon Kauba told the ABC in Port Moresby.

Thirty-five police have been deployed, Kauba said.

The killing of a man reportedly lead to the deaths of 14 more, and a settlement burned to the ground in Papua New Guinea's eastern province.
