Brisbane defender Elliot Yeo appears headed to West Coast as four teammates also seek new homes before Friday's AFL trade deadline.
While the trade is still unofficial, The Age reported on Tuesday that the Eagles would give up draft pick No.28 for Yeo.
Billy Longer, Patrick Karnezis, Sam Docherty and Jared Polec also want to leave Brisbane.
Longer wants to go to St Kilda, while the AFL website reported on Tuesday that North Melbourne have joined Collingwood in trying to strike a deal for Karnezis.
Carlton are interested in Docherty and the two Adelaide clubs are vying for Polec.
Also on Tuesday, Essendon struck a trade with Greater Western Sydney that nets them youngsters Shaun Edwards and Kurt Aylett in exchange for pick No.48.
The Bombers said on their website that securing Edwards was a "coup" for the club.
Adelaide were also interested in Edwards, who is on the Indigenous All Stars tour of Ireland.
It is the Bombers' first deal in this trade period.
They have no first or second round draft picks to bargain with following the AFL penalties for their supplements scandal.
There are big wraps on Edwards and Crows legend Andrew McLeod, who is also on the Ireland tour, had urged Adelaide football manager David Noble to go after Edwards.
"He can play - he's a good size, he carries the ball, he has beautiful skills," McLeod told 5AA.
"He is lightning quick (and) having Shaun coming off the half-back flank for the Crows would be amazing."
But the Bombers managed to beat Adelaide to the punch with the package deal.
Aylett, 21, is an injury-prone defender who played one game last season for the Giants.
Essendon remain in negotiations with the Western Bulldogs over Bombers forward Stewart Crameri.

* Hawthorn have on-traded their No.19 compensation draft pick to St Kilda as part of the deal that has netted them ruckman Ben McEvoy.
The Saints also exchanged picks 24 and 59 for 19, the selection that Hawthorn received for losing Lance Franklin to Sydney under free agency.
St Kilda now have three draft selections inside the top 20.
* The Saints also boosted their tall defensive options, securing Luke Delaney from North Melbourne for pick 77.
* Sydney utility Jed Lamb is poised to join Shane Mumford in leaving the Swans and joining the Giants.
