Collingwood have secured utility Patrick Karnezis in an AFL trade that sends forward Jackson Paine to Brisbane.

Brisbane confirmed the deal on Friday, the last day of the trade period.

Shortly after the Lions also confirmed that ruckman Billy Longer will go to St Kilda.

Brisbane will also give up draft pick No.48 for selections 25 and 41.

That means all five players who wanted to leave the Lions have secured new homes.

Deals confirmed on Thursday mean Sam Docherty is headed to Carlton, while Elliot Yeo is now at West Coast and Port Adelaide secured a deal for Jared Polec.

Karnezis has played 21 games for the Lions, including three this season.

Paine played no senior games this year and has a career total of six.

Longer played four games this season for a total of nine.
