PNG plane crash: Aussie man among three people killed

An Australian man is one of three people killed in a plane crash in Papua New Guinea.

The Department of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the 38-year-old Victorian man was among those killed in the crash on Monday.

A DFAT spokesperson said two PNG nationals were also killed and consular officials ere in contact with the man's family in Australia.

"Our thoughts are with the families of the victims," the spokesperson said in a statement on Tuesday.

ABC Online is reporting that a single-engined Cessna Caravan operated by Tropicair crashed while flying between Kimusi and Purari in Gulf province on Monday.
