Smoke sends spies from ASIO headquarters

Smoke sparked by powerlines has forced employees inside an ASIO building in Canberra to leave.

The smoke travelled through several floors after powerlines sparked at around 7am.

Firefighters spent about 45 minutes repairing the lines and helping to air the building.

The building is still being used while a $630 million replacement headquarters is still being constructed.
