South Sudan and the Central African Republic: How you can help

Since December, crisis has gripped the world’s newest nation, South Sudan, after an internal political conflict spilled into violence which has left thousands dead. Find out how you can help those affected by the conflict here.

The UNHCR has launched an Australia appeal for the crisis in South Sudan. To donate, follow the link here or call 1300 361 288.

Caritas Australia is providing humanitarian support to communities affacted by the conflict in South Sudan. To donate, visit their website or call  1800 024 413.

CARE is working to provide South Sudanese communities with safe drinking water. To donate to the water appeal, go to their website or call 1800 020 046.

OXFAM has set up an emergency response appeal. To donate, follow the link or call 1800 088 110.

The International Red Cross encourages donations to people from their organisation who are working in the field, helping victims of the conflict. Follow the link here to donate or call 03 9345 1800.

Central African Republic

The UNHCR has an appeal underway to assist the thousands of people who have been forced from their homes in the Central African Republic. To donate, follow the link here or call 1300 361 288.
