SA man shot in 'stupid' dare

A man has been arrested after shooting his friend in a dare, described by SA police as stupid and reckless.

An Adelaide man has been wounded after agreeing his friend could shoot him as a dare.

The Brahma Lodge man arrived at hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm just after midnight (CDT) on Thursday, police say.

He told staff he had agreed his friend could shoot him as a dare.

Police say the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

"Such reckless behaviour is ill-conceived and police won't hesitate to take action against this type of stupidity," a spokesman said.

The man's 19-year-old friend has been arrested for causing serious harm and firearm offences, after five guns were seized from his Brahma Lodge home.
