Trabzonspor handed six-match stadium ban

Turkey's Trabzonspor have been ordered to play six matches behind closed doors as punishment after violent fans threw objects onto the pitch.

Trabzonspor have been ordered to play six matches behind closed doors as punishment for the violence that scarred their game against Super League leaders Fenerbahce, the Turkish football disciplinary board says.

Monday's game was abandoned after fans threw various objects onto the pitch.

The match, in front of a capacity 24,000 crowd, was halted twice in the first half, prompting the referee to leave the field to be followed by Fenerbahce players.
