Patties appoints new CEO

Patties Foods has appointed Steven Chaur as its new chief executive.

Frozen foods maker Patties Foods has appointed Steven Chaur, a veteran of the fast-moving consumer goods sector, as chief executive, effective from April 15.

Mr Chaur was most recently managing director of the Pacific region for Saint-Gobain, one of the world's Top 100 publicly-listed industrial groups.

Saint-Gobain makes products for the construction, packaging, industrial and retail markets.

Mr Chaur also has held senior executive positions at Tip Top Bakeries, Findus Australasia and National Foods.

"Steven has a strong track record in transforming companies in the baking, dairy and frozen food industries through operational improvement, brand innovation-led growth and a customer-driven culture," Patties chairman Mark Smith said in a statement on Friday.

Mr Chaur will take over from acting joint chief executives Michael Knaap and Tim Peters.

Patties Foods' brands include Four'N Twenty, Patties, Herbert Adams, Nanna's, Creative Gourmet and Chefs Pride.
