Australian NBA star Andrew Bogut is reportedly set to miss up to four games for the Golden State Warriors with a groin injury.

Bogut had scans at the weekend on a bruised pelvis suffered during Friday's win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The 29-year-old seemed hurt after being accidentally kneed by centre Marc Gasol while trying to defend a lay-up and was subsequently ruled of Monday's 89-84 loss to the New York Knicks.

"These things happen. No ill feeling to Gasol just a move I need to work on in the summer :) Glad the berries are intact. I'll be alright....." Bogut posted on Twitter.

But media reports out of the US claim Bogut could spend the next four to seven days on the sidelines, which includes matches against Dallas, San Antonio, Sacramento and Utah.

According to Yahoo Sports journalist Adrian Wojnarowski, the Warriors will sign veteran Hilton Armstrong - currently playing for their NBA development league team in Santa Cruz - on 10-day deal as cover for Bogut.

Golden State, sitting in sixth place in the Western Conference, have won nine of their last 13 games and fighting to remain in contention for the playoffs.
