Renowned Sydney restaurant Rockpool has been evacuated after a fire broke out in the kitchen causing extensive damage.
Twenty firefighters were on scene in Hunter Street battling the blaze after it broke out on Wednesday evening, NSW Fire and Rescue Superintendent Paul Johnstone said.
"The kitchen's been extensively damaged by the fire," he said.
"There is still some fire in the ducting of the building."
About 50 staff and 100 customers were evacuated from the restaurant area, with all accounted for.
