Hunters Collectors' Howard releases album

Jack Howard, a former member of Aussie rock band Hunters & Collectors, has released a solo album.

Hunters & Collectors trumpet player Jack Howard has released another solo record with his side-project Jack Howard & The Long Lost Brothers.

Day Of The Dog comes 15 months after Howard's previous album The Story So Far.

Howard is also a member of The Break with Brian Richie of the Violent Femmes and Rob Hirst, Jim Moginie and Martin Rotsey of Midnight Oil.

Hirst says Day of the Dog delivers 12 "sweet and soulful slices of romance".

"Jacks's album veers from dark 60s sounding pop to brassy show tunes and deep rock. Superb".

Day of the Dog releases on April 18.
