After driving a tractor the length of Africa, Dutch adventurer Manon "Tractor Girl" Ossevoort has almost reached the South Pole.
It's been a nine-year and 45,000 kilometre trip on tractor.
The former Dutch theatre actress Manon Ossevoort hoped her journey would serve as an inspiration to everyone.
"The tractor really symbolises this down-to-earth farmers' fact and wisdom that if you really want to do something, maybe you're not so fast but if you keep going you'll get there and keep your sense of humour alive,” she said.
“So, for me, the tractor is strong, stubborn and it just keeps going."
She set off from her home in a quiet town in the Netherlands with the goal of reaching the southern tip of Africa.
Four years later, the former theatre actress made it to Cape Town, but had already formulated plans to push on further and make the South Pole.
Her hopes of a quick trip to the South Pole were dashed when she missed the boat from Cape Town to Antarctic, which lead to a four-year hiatus from her adventure.
But after securing new sponsorship deals, she was back and more determined than ever.
The mission, dubbed “Antarctica 2,” is currently on track to reach its destination around December 10.
