Cartoonists around the world have penned heartbreaking tributes to the Charlie Hebdo staff who were killed in a shooting attack in Paris.

Cartoonists around the world have shared heartbreaking images on social media to honour staff at satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo who were killed in a shooting attack in Paris.

Australian cartoonist David Pope tweeted an image of a dead cartoonist on the ground with an armed gunman standing over him and the words “he drew first” in a speech bubble to his right.

French cartoonist Tommy Dessine tweeted an image of Jesus holding his head in his hands with the words "Oh non… pas eux…” (Oh no… not them) in a thought bubble at left, a line of magazine staffers below him.
