'Yolo': Obama poses with selfie stick, makes faces in mirror for new video

Posing with a selfie stick, making funny faces in the mirror, drawing pictures of his crush and shooting air hoops in the White House: these are the things Obama will do to get people signing up to his healthcare plan.

US President Barack Obama has starred in a new video that shows the world what he does when no one is looking.

The video, which was produced by BuzzFeed and released on Thursday, is based on the idea that Obama is waiting for an interviewer to turn up and in the meantime gets bored.

To pass the time he can be seen posing with a selfie stick, sketching a picture of wife Michelle, making faces in the mirror and practicing a speech.

Eventually the interviewer turns up and catches the president pretending to shoot hoops.

Upon interruption, Obama asks: "Can I live?"

The video was designed to promote the government's healthcare plan and encourage people to sign up before the February 15 cut-off date.

The video – named Things Everybody Does But Doesn’t Talk About. – is a spinoff of an earlier BuzzFeed video named 7 Creepy Things Everyone Does.
