For many Australian-Muslim women, harassment and abuse is a week-to-week issue.

At a public forum in the Melbourne suburb of Craigieburn, Muslim women have spoken of their experiences of discrimination.

Police, community organisations and legal representatives also attended the event, organised by the Uniting Church's Uniting through Faiths project.

Chair of the forum, Reem Hakem, spoke to Will Mumford about her experiences.
