Australia’s first ever Eurovision entrant Guy Sebastian has released the song he’ll compete with in Vienna.
Tonight Again has been described as a contemporary R&B style track and one that belongs on the Eurovision stage.
“I thought since I had a couple of days off in Australia I would try and write something new,” said Sebastian.
“We all have moments you don’t want to end and you wish you could live those moments every day so I wanted to write a song about that feeling.”
It was written and recorded by Sebastian in Sydney in the space of a week.
A special music video was also filmed.
“Tonight Again is a song we can all get behind, and Guy is the perfect artist to deliver a world class performance for Australia and SBS on the world’s biggest stage,” said SBS Managing Director Michael Ebeid.
Sebastian will be fast-tracked to the Eurovision 2015 Grand Final as a special one-off wild-card entry.
He’ll perform to a packed Wiener Stadthalle stadium in front of an estimated television audience of almost 200 million people.
"Guy was initially thinking of a power ballad, but this new song is a celebration of the grand final night and our participation, and we couldn't be more excited about it," said Director of Blink TV, Paul Clarke.
This is the first time Australia has been able to compete and vote in the contest. It follows a special performance by Jessica Mauboy at last year’s contest in Denmark.
SBS has been broadcasting Eurovision for more than 30 years.
Australian fans will be able to watch the performance live on SBS One from May 20-24.
