Man's body found under Brisbane pier

The body of a man has been found under Brisbane's Eagle Street Pier after a woman reported him missing.

Police have found the body of a man underneath Brisbane's Eagle Street Pier after he was reported missing in the water.

At around 4pm on Saturday police were told the man had been in a drain underneath the pier on the Brisbane River.

A female companion had managed to get out of the water and raise the alarm.

At about 6.30pm police found a body, believed to be that of the missing man.

No further details were available.
