Man named after WA police shooting

An investigation is continuing surrounding the circumstances of a man who died after he was shot by police in Perth.

Police have named the man who died after being shot by officers in Perth.

Police were called to a house in Hamilton Hill about 10.15pm on Friday after a domestic violence call.

Daniel Josef Adwent allegedly attacked police with a weapon.

The 44-year-old was shot once in the abdomen, a police statement said.

Adwent was in a critical condition in Fiona Stanley Hospital but died on Saturday.

A police investigation is underway and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
