Teenagers suffering stab wounds sustained in a brawl continued to fight among themselves when they arrived at hospital.

Five youths, aged between 16 and 19, took themselves to Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital in the early hours of Saturday following the brawl between two groups in Chatswood.

A fight then broke out between the injured teens, forcing police to intervene.

Two 17-year-old boys also presented at St Vincent's Hospital with stab wounds.

None of the injuries are considered life threatening.

Police are investigating if the two groups in the brawl were known to each other and have seized several items for forensic examination.
