The federal government is continuing to face questions about plans to legislate for Australian dual nationals suspected of terror links to be stripped of their Australian citizenship.

It comes as Prime Minister Tony Abbott faces opposition within his own Cabinet over a desire to extend the power, held by the Immigration Minister, to Australians who hold no other citizenship.

SBS Chief political correspondent Catherine McGrath sat down with the federal Immigration Minister Peter Dutton to get some clarification of the process.
