The screen adaptation of a best-selling Australian novel will star Hunger Games actor Jennifer Lawrence, according to reports.
The star will reportedly play Rosie Jarman in a film-version of 'The Rosie Project' by Graeme Simsion.
Columbia pictures, a division of Sony, is reportedly producing the film, after acquiring the film rights last year.
The 2013 novel follows an awkward genetics professor named Don Tillman as he comes up with a scientific plan to finding a partner.
His method is disrupted when he meets Rosie, whose chaotic life is at odds with his criteria.
The book has sold more than a million copies worldwide.
No male lead or director has been secured for the film, according to reports.
Author Graeme Simsion retweeted a message from a fan account on the news reports.
