Bronwyn Bishop was described by Labor as biased during her speakership, but how does Mrs Bishop compare with previous Speakers and deputy Speakers?

When Mrs Bishop stood down as Speaker on August 3rd, she took with her the record for the number of MPs ejected under standing orders 94, 94(a) and 94(b).

Since David Hawker became the Speaker of the House of Representatives after the 2004 federal election, nine Speakers and deputy Speakers have ordered 138 individuals to remove themselves from parliament on 1,070 occasions.

Mrs Bishop ejected the largest proportion of opposition MPs of any speaker.

Several Deputy Speakers only threw out one or two MPs each, and were excluded from the data visualisation.
The exact number of days each speaker and deputy speaker sat was unclear.
