Robber dressed up as mutant ninja turtle

Victoria police are searching for a man who stole a BMW motorcycle while dressed up as a children's costume character.

A man wearing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle mask made off with a BMW motorcycle from a Melbourne car dealership.

He was costumed as Leonardo, one of the four turtle character from the hit cartoon show and movie who wears a blue eye mask, and teemed his headwear with black and blue tracksuit pants.

Victoria Police were called to the Doncaster dealership at 1.30pm on September 7 after the theft and on Friday released video footage of the incident, which they hope will lead to his eventual arrest.
