Talha Wahab's body found in Melb creek

Missing man Talha Wahab's body has been found in a creek in a Melbourne park.

Missing Melbourne man Talha Wahab's body has been found in a Melbourne creek two weeks after he disappeared.

The 29-year-old's body was discovered in a Moomba Park creek in Fawkner, the suburb where he lived.

His pregnant wife Tanzeel Memon made a tearful public for him to return in a video published last week on YouTube.

"If, Talha, you're listening, please let us know you're safe ... every minute, every second is very difficult for me," Ms Memon said in the video.

"Please, I would like people to come forward and help me find my husband, please."

Mr Wahab's body was discovered at 11am on Friday and homicide detectives are investigating his death.

He was last seen leaving his Oxfam office in Carlton on September 15 and his car was found parked at Moomba Park later that night.

In the two weeks since Mr Wahab went missing, friends and supporters doorknocked businesses and put up posters in a bid to find him.

His accounts were not touched and his mobile phone has been switched off.
