Man dies during Sydney-Wollongong ride

A 53-year-old man has died during a charity ride from Sydney to Wollongong, police say.

A man has died during a charity cycling event from Sydney to Wollongong.

Police say the 53-year-old Mount Annan man collapsed while riding along Lawrence Hargraves Drive at Clifton about 11.20am on Sunday and died at the scene.

The man's death occurred during the 90km MS Sydney to the Gong Ride.
