South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill has called on independent upper house MP Bernard Finnigan to resign from parliament immediately after he was found guilty on a child pornography charge.
Mr Weatherill says it's utterly inconsistent with a finding of guilt for Finnigan to continue to sit in the parliament.

The premier says if Finnigan refuses to resign immediately the government will seek to have the parliament resolve the issue when it sits on Tuesday.
