Euthanasia laws introduced to Senate

A private bill allowing the ACT and Northern Territory to legalise assisted suicide has been introduced to the Senate by Liberal Democrat David Leyonhjelm.

A private bill to allow the territories to legalise euthanasia has been introduced to the Senate by Liberal Democrat David Leyonhjelm.

The bill, introduced on Wednesday, seeks to repeal a 1997 federal law banning the ACT and Northern Territory from legislating to allow assisted suicide.
