Nine switches regional TV partners

Nine and Southern Cross Austereo have signed a new affiliation deal that is likely to create major changes for regional TV broadcasters.

The Nine Network has signed a new affiliation deal with Southern Cross Austereo in what shapes as a major shakeup of regional TV media.

Nine is currently alligned with WIN in a deal that ends on June 30, while regional TV broadcaster Southern Cross Austereo has an agreement with the Ten Network.

The new five year deal between Nine and Southern Cross begins on July 1.
