Telstra is giving away more free internet access, although this time it's via wi-fi and not just for its own customers.

Anyone with a phone, tablet or other enabled device will have free access to 400,000 or so Telstra Air hotspots from Friday to Monday, to mark next week's World Wi-Fi Day.

Telstra has twice given customers a free mobile data day this year as an apology for network outages.
