Forensic officers have spent another day scouring the property of Tiahleigh Palmer's accused killer.
They are searching the Chambers Flat acreage for any evidence in relation to Tiahleigh's death, including her backpack and school uniform.
Forensic officers were seen removing items on Saturday but it appears nothing of major significance has been found at the property where the 12-year-old lived with her foster family, the Thorburns, until she disappeared last October.
Rick Thorburn, 56, has been charged with Tiahleigh's murder and is in Arthur Gorrie jail after being treated for a reported pill overdose at Princess Alexandra Hospital.
Thorburn's partner Julene, 54, and one of his sons, Josh, 20, were released on bail after being charged with perjury and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The couple's other son, 19-year-old Trent, faces the same charges as well as an additional charge of incest amid allegations he had sex with Tiahleigh.
The state's foster system is facing heavy scrutiny in the wake of the charges.
Child Safety Minister Shannon Fentiman on Saturday said an additional 47 frontline and support staff to help keep children safe would be in place by the end of the year.
She also responded to calls from child consumer body, the CREATE Foundation, for more external monitoring of the system including foster carers.
"I've already said I'm happy to look at more unannounced visits, whether it be from community visitors or our child safety officers," Ms Fentiman said.
"There are already circumstances where unannounced visits happen."
Meanwhile, the Liberal National Party Opposition reiterated its calls for an external, independent investigation of the child protection system.
"It's time this government finally took some real action and commenced a rapid response investigation into failings of the department and foster care system," opposition child safety spokeswoman Ros Bates said.
The Labor government has already announced a six-month review into the state's blue card system.
