The organisers had sold out all the tickets for the concert, scheduled for Tuesday but announced they will refund the cost of the tickets to the fans, according to Khaosod news portal.

The government on Friday asked the public to suspend celebrations and festive activities for 30 days in the wake of the king's death.

The 88-year-old monarch, on the throne since 1946, is the only king that most Thais have known and he was revered as a symbol of unity and guidance.
