SBS nominated for two Walkley Awards

The finalists for the 61st annual Walkley Awards have been announced with teams from SBS up for gongs in two artistic categories.

SBS has been nominated in two Walkley Awards categories.

The SBS animation 'My Grandmother's Lingo' has been nominated in the multimedia storytelling section. The interactive documentary highlights the plight of Indigenous languages by exploring Aboriginal culture and the endangered Aboriginal language of Marra.

Two graphic comics by Sam Wallman have been nominated in the artwork category, 'Brick by brick: A comic from Eastern Europe's Border Crisis' and 'Winding Up The Window: The End Of the Australian Auto Industry'.

The journalism industry awards night will take place on December 2. See the full list of nominations.
