Mitch Clark's AFL stop-start AFL career appears over after Geelong decided not to offer the key forward a new contract.
A series of injuries restricted the 29-year-old to only nine senior matches in his two seasons at Simonds Stadium, including a sole outing against Sydney in 2016.
He had previously played with the Brisbane Lions and Melbourne.
Clark parted ways with the Demons in early 2014 after being diagnosed with clinical depression, before being snapped up the Cats later that year in the trade period.
Geelong football manager Steve Hocking said that Cats' fans never saw the best of Clark, whose standout season came back in 2009 when he finished third in the Lions' best and fairest award and was named in the extended All-Australian squad.
"Unfortunately Mitch suffered a number of injuries during his two years at Geelong and as a result, wasn't able to perform to his true capability," said Hocking.
"We thank Mitch for his time at the club and wish him and his family all the best for their future."
Clark has battled a series of injuries throughout his 106-match, 11-year career, including serious calf problems during his time at Geelong.
