Jarrod Sammut joins London Broncos

Australian halfback Jarrod Sammut has joined English rugby league team London Broncos on a two-year deal.

Former Penrith playmaker Jarrod Sammut has joined English rugby league outfit the London Broncos on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old halfback has spent the past seven years in the English game, initially with Crusaders, and also played in Super League for Bradford and Wakefield before moving to Championship club Workington 18 months ago.

"I'm really pleased to be returning to London," said Sammut, who had a brief loan spell at the club in 2015.

"My time with the Broncos in 2015 was short and sweet but something I really enjoyed and I'm looking forward to being a part of it again."

London coach Andrew Henderson said: "Jarrod's a talented and exciting playmaker. He has generally been known for his attacking ability and been described as a maverick but I have seen him mature as a player in recent seasons."
