Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers said his team has what it takes to go deep into the playoffs, but he refused to guarantee a win over the New York Giants in this weekend's wild card playoff game.

The Packers beat the Giants 23-16 in Week 5, but Rodgers said this is a different New York team from the one Green Bay beat early in the season.

"That was a long time ago, and obviously both teams are playing a little bit differently," Rodgers said.

The 33-year-old quarterback praised the Giants' defence, which emerged as one of the best in the National Football League in the second half of the season.

"(Giants safety) Landon Collins is having a great season and is making a lot of plays, when he wasn't as much at the time.

"I mean, it's a film you look at, but you look at the more recent stuff a little closer," Rodgers said.

The Packers are not intimated by any team, Rodgers said.

"We respect all of our opponents, but we fear none of them," the star quarterback said.

The Packers (10-6), the NFC North champions, will take on the Giants (11-5) at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on Monday (AEDT).
