Celebrity chef Adam Liaw has shared his thoughts on Harmony Day, revealing his own personal brushes with racism and discrimination.

Born in Malaysia to an English-Singaporean mother and Hainanese Chinese father, his passion for cooking began after he moved in with this Chinese grandmother in his early teens.

He has also talked about what changes to section 18c of the Racial Discrimination Act will mean for him and his family, and expressed his fears over what his children will one day face.
