A 42-year-old man was arrested in an office in Wu Chung House in Wan Chai, northern shore in Hong Kong, after allegedly stealing a co-worker's breast milk and replacing it with store bought milk.

“A 26-year-old woman reported to us on Monday last week that someone had allegedly stolen two bottles of breast milk from the refrigerater,” a police spokeswoman said.

The offender was arrested for theft on the same day and is set to appear in Eastern Court on July 21.

The news about the thief was posted on Facebook by the Hong Kong Breastfeeding Mothers’ Association.

Wu Chung House is a 40 floor skyscraper in the northern shore of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong Competition Commission, Hong Kong Department of Health, Hopewell Holdings and the Hongkong Post are located inside.

The mothers' association group has urged the government to do more and protect breastfeeding mothers in the workplace and in public areas.

In December 2016, another man was caught stealing breast milk from his co-worker in Hong Kong.

The Eastern Court Law Court in Hong Kong heard how Lam Chung- kau stole a bottle of breast milk in March of 2016.

He sent the mother an anonymous message about drinking her milk.

A month later the mother received another message however this time there were explicit photos attached with it.

The computer technician was ordered to 200 hours of community service for theft. He claimed he was suffering from work-related stress.
