WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has tweeted an invitation for Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to visit him while he is in London.
"I invite @TurnbullMalcolm to meet the only Australian held in breach of multiple UN rulings. Not hard to find mate. There 5 years," Mr Assange tweeted from the Ecuadorian Embassy in London on Wednesday morning.
He has been holed up in the embassy since June 2012 after seeking asylum to avoid extradition to Sweden to face a rape allegation.
Swedish prosecutors dropped investigations into the allegations in May, but Mr Assange still faces arrest by British police on a charge of skipping bail if he leaves the embassy.
He fears extradition to the US to face charges over WikiLeaks' release of top secret military and diplomatic documents.
Mr Turnbull attended the G20 summit in Hamburg last week before travelling to London where he has held talks with Prime Minister Theresa May, and on Tuesday met the Queen.
