Roos veteran Higgins signs new AFL deal

North Melbourne midfielder Shaun Higgins has signed a one-year AFL contract extension keeping him at Arden St until the end of 2019.

North Melbourne have rewarded midfielder Shaun Higgins for his strong AFL season with a one-year contract extension.

The 29-year-old has been among the Kangaroos' best during a challenging season, averaging 22 disposals and a goal per game.

Higgins, after leaving the Western Bulldogs as a free agent at the end of 2014, will remain at Arden St until after the 2019 season.
