An amateur gymnast ended up trapped in a bathroom window while trying to retrieve her poo during a Tinder date in the UK.

Liam Smyth's date had to be rescued by firefighters and he later took to a crowdfunding site to raise £200 to replace the window.

Mr Smyth, from Bristol in the UK, also explained how the incident played out after treating his date to a meal at Portuguese chicken chain Nando's.
"My date got up to use the toilet. She returned with a panicked look in her eye, and told me she had something to tell me," he wrote on his gofundme page.

"'I went for a poo in your toilet', she told me, 'And it would not flush. I don't know why I did this, but I panicked'.

"She continued, 'I reached into the toilet bowl, wrapped it in tissue paper, and threw it out of the window.'"

The pair then attempted to retrieve the poo but due to a "design quirk" they found it difficult to complete the task, so Mr Smyth went upstairs to get a hammer and chisel to smash the window open.

But when he came back his date, who was an amateur gymnast, was "convinced" she would be able to wriggle through the window. Instead she got stuck and was left hanging upside down.

Mr Smyth ended up calling the fire brigade who took 15 minutes to free his date but had to destroy the window.
The Avon Fire and Rescue service told the Bristol Post their team was called to Mr Smyth's address on August 7.

"We received a call at 22:41 to one female trapped between interior and exterior glass," a spokeman told the publication.

“Two crews were sent from Temple station and she was rescued using hand tools."
He is now asking the public to help cover the cost of fixing the window, which has been quoted to be "north of £300, as he is a postgraduate student and the repairs would take up a "significant chunk" of his budget.

At the time of publication, his campaign had raised almost £1,500 but Mr Smyth said he would be donating the extra money to charity.
