A commercial diving boat has discovered the body of a 65-year-old rock fisherman in Sydney Harbour.
The vessel was off Middle Head on Wednesday morning when the body was seen floating face down 150 metres from the shore.
Police were called and found fishing equipment on the rocks nearby, a spokesman said in a statement.
The man, who was not wearing a life jacket, has since been identified as a 65-year-old from Wahroonga on the city's upper north shore.
A NSW Police spokesman told AAP a post-mortem examination would determine whether the man drowned or if he possibly suffered a medical episode before entering the water.
