Missing swimmer's body found in NSW

A man's body has been found after he disappeared underwater in a NSW river, where he had been riding an inflatable mattress.

A man who disappeared after going into a NSW south coast river on an inflatable mattress has been found dead.

The body of the man, believed to be a 27-year-old Chinese national, was found in water in Kangaroo Valley about 8.40pm on Sunday after a search involving police divers.

Police said he disappeared underwater about 3.40pm when swimming with friends in the Kangaroo River near a Bendeela campground.
