A man in Laholm, Sweden was reported to police for farting.

The man released himself after the woman he was with refused to have sex with him.

According to the woman, the man had visited her at her home with the intention of having sex. But after she refused him, he farted and left.

 

In spite of leaving her house after she denied him consent, the woman described the assault on her olfactory senses as a "revenge fart".

"It smelled very bad in my flat," the woman said in the police report.

The police carried out their obligation to investigate whether criminal actions took place, but nothing was found and the incident was dropped.

But that didn't stop the hoot-of-a-story from making local headlines.

Though the man and woman had seen each other romantically before, they were not in a relationship.

Their names were not released to the public.
